FLHSMV recently provided an API (an Application Programming Interface, which enables computer systems to talk with each other) that allows for the electronic reporting of student completions. TSC had been manually reporting student completions since its DETS program went live nearly two months ago, but we have now implemented a system that handles automatic electronic reporting for online course completions.
Our IT team is currently working on a system to administer classroom scheduling and completion processing for the DETS program that will likewise support automatic electronic completion reporting to FLHSMV. Details on this helpful new system will be forthcoming as the official launch date approaches.
We will be reaching out to each authorized affiliate next week to set up your school in the FLHSMV web portal, which will allow you to purchase your classroom seals. And, as we transition to the new system for classroom administrative tasks, Donna will arrange a quick training on the new processes and ensure that all affiliates have proper login credentials.
